  • Starboard Pull

Just purchased a Seaway 21 with a 2003 suzuki 90 4 stroke. She pulls very hard to starboard. This can be alleviated some by raising the motor, but still pulls hard. The anode at the base is adjusted as far to starboard as possible, but it is not parallel to the shaft. The steering is not hydraulic, and Seaways to not have trim tabs. I am wondering if it is has something to do with the prop. Thoughts appreciated.

Check that motor mounted at right height(generally cavitation plate even with bottom of hull) and centered on transom.

Agreed, raise the motor mounting height at least 2 holes and test it. If the motor is mounted too deep you can lose performance and have issues like steady pull.

The only other possibility would be a hook in the hull. Considering you get relief from trim, I'm gonna stick with improper mounting.

Thanks. That was one of the things we were going to try.
