DF50 stalling

2004 DF50 - 4 hours on a new power head, careful varying idle speeds. Runs great above idle speed, but will stall when putting it into gear. This happens when the engine's warm and has been running at normal operating temp. I restart and put her into gear and all's fine.

Any suggestions??? Should I try adjusting the by idle pass air screw?
