  • Vapor Separator Question

    Hi all

    New to the forum.

I have a 2007 DF150 and took the side panel off to change the oil.

I notice this tube coming from the vapor separator and assume it's just a vent tube? If you look closely at the end of the tube, it appear that it had attached to something.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks

It is the drain tube for the vapor separator so that when you open the Phillips head drain screw you can put the tube into a receptacle and not make a mess

Bloggsy is correct. During normal operation, it is not connected to anything. I have the same motor and that tube on mine hangs straight down.

Thanks much guys...hope to get out this weekend

BTW have you ever noticed that the vent screw for the gear oil has a slightly different pitch than the oil level or bottom fill port screw?
