Went to a dam 1300kms north of where I live to see if I could catch a barramundi, and better still, catch one over a metre long.

To do so is one of the "bucket list" things for Aussie fishermen.

      Mission accomplished!

Caught from our 4.3m tinny with DF40A tiller.

And here a short video of mine, sea trialling it in the Solent south of the UK. About 90% done with my boat project...

                  My 2014 DF60A

Have other photos, but here's one showing my rig with DF60A and my "new" (2015) DF2.5 kicker. 110 hours of bliss on the water so far! This is one of many monster channel catfish from the tidal Potomac River within the Washington, DC city limits. Politics are terrible but the fishing is good!

                    Nice fish, and interesting rig!

                    Aluminium boat?

Yep - all aluminum. Went through a wood eradication project ~10 years ago. Even the transom is fiberglass laminate. Laid out almost exactly as I want (although if I had it do over again....). I had an '83 Johnson 60HP which will still run (lower unit issues). Thought perhaps it was time for a re-power! Love the Suzy. Incredible fuel economy, quiet, powerful. Absolute treat to use!
