Internal fuel tank

I just got my DF6 back from the shop, I took it in thinking i had a bad impeller due to a minimal amount of water coming out the pee hole. Well it turns out that this motor justs "mists" the discharge and there is no real stream of discharge. The business is an authorized Suzuki repair center so I feel comfortable in that explanation.

That brings up my question. They filled the internal tank with fuel and now I wouild like to use that up. Do I need a plug for where I hook up the external tank to use the internal fuel or does it take from there first? I bought this motor used so I have no manuals for reference.

There is a fuel valve on the side of the engine. On side is internal, other is external and "close" Depending on the model. See an example here
