    Anyone know how to remove this bastard? (DT25c)
    All help appreciated.

    Once you have wedges evenly around, try tapping (wood mallet) driveshaft downward. Might be hanging up on oring/ bearing/ seal assy.

      '''''''''Mate I have not over hauled a dt series gear box, in a df series you wont get the drive shaft out until you remove the prop shaft and undo the pinion nut and remove the pinion, it wont go through the housing. Remove the pinion and I would say the hole lot will come out as a unit, and normally the pinion is a prick to get off.

        Red, he's trying to get bearing plate off. And i think it will come off and slide off the driveshaft, but have to remove key from shaft (impeller), and there looks like a shaft seal with a bearing behind it (parts book on dt25) on the underside.

          Could be possible that the slot of the key from the impeller slightly dis formed the drive shaft and so blocking the plate from sliding over it. Push back the plate and see if you can sand the drive shaft around the key slot to make is round again.
