  • DT 65 draining carbs.

I have scoured the web with this question...hoping you kind folks can help. I have a manual but it's one of those that are not so good. I want to drain the carbs and am asking are the small screws on the lowest part of the carb the drains?
I know I am being vague but still hoping some one can help.

    Thank you,

    Bruce

Yes, they should drain the carb bowl, but on some models there may be a jet attached to each screw, if removed all the way, do not mix them up between carbs. Some older models used different jets to balance air/fuel flow rates between top, middle, and bottom carbs. Around the mid 90's they made all the carbs the same. Likewise, they went to one setting for all the air-mixture idle settings for each model that had carbs.

    Why are you draining carbs?

Good luck, post back when able.

Thank you Solarman. That's the info I needed, really appreciate the answer to that.
      Thanks again,
