  • DF115 loose white wire: What & Where??

    Hi,
New DF 115 owner here trying figure out where this loose wire should connect to?
It is hanging free from under the cavitation plate. Looks like a grounding strap to me... but where should I connect it.
Motor runs just fine with it hanging loose so I have just ignored it... although I know this is a mistake.
    Thanks for any help

Thanks Martin for the response .... But this revealed a bigger issue I think (?)
That wire strap is supposed to be the ground wire for a Anode Bar below?... Problem: There is no Anode below.
I just bought this used boat with the DF115 motor on it, so have little history. The previous owner apparently removed it
or ran without... Do I need to replace with a new anode?

      Thanks for any help.

I'm assuming this is required equipment to prevent exterior corrosion, I will get one. Question: Does Suzuki OEM approve of the Aluminum replacement anode instead of zinc or mag?
I ask because I do take the boat 75% freshwater and 25% saltwater.

        Thanks

Aluminum anode should work just fine. If you haven't found one yet, here's one source. https://www.ebay.com/itm/13276789187...m=132767891874
