df200a will not shift into forward

2019 motor about 30 hours. it had previously been having problems shifting into reverse. this past weekend I pulled back on shifter really hard and it engaged. now it will not engage in forward. with motor in reverse, the prop will lock up. it free spins in neutral and shift into forward it also free spins. I disconnected the shift rod and tried to engage forward by hand it wouldn't move enough. engaged reverse by hand fine. whats the next step? also shifter moves cable forward and reverse fine. thanks

2019 motor? Isn't this motor under warranty? I would let the dealer fix this, otherwise they say that you broke it while trying to fix.

agree it should be a dealer issue
but, just thinking out loud so to speak, on the remote check the manual rev lever,
if that cable is out of adjustment, it could be locking out the ability to shift gears
