2000 DF25 4 stroke barley pumping water

Hey guys I thought my impeller was bad so I changed it out but I am still only geeting just drops of water out the back, I know it is pumping good water, I pulled the hose off the head and it has good water amount pumping out the top, don't know what is going on any advice would be appreciated

Blockage by dirt etc in the tube.

Have you tried poking a piece of heavy mono fishing line or weed eater line up into there, with the engine running, to see if you can dislodge any trash in there - it usually works.

I have had the rubber plug out of the out let end and even pulled the rubber hose off that connects to the out let and very little water coming out of the hose that connects to the outlet

I thinking maybe the thermostat is bad, but I cannot find the cotton-picking thermostat on the motor anywhere

Will the water pressure control valve cause it to barely pump water?

From looking at the parts page it appears to be from the orintation to be on top
A square cover plate that has a good sized water hose attached
