  • Should I spray my engine?

What are your thoughts on using a corrosion spray to spray under the cowling? What kind/type of spray would you use if you do spray your engine? And how often do you spray?

My engine is a 2017 200hp with 15 hours on it.

I spray my DF 115 with lanoline - Ozspray industry grade. Repels water, conditions rubber and protects metal from corrosion.

    I spray twice a year.

My Suzuki dealer put me onto it.

No doubt you can get a similar lanoline product where you are.

I use it in a spray can. Dielectric oil. Lightly spray on the engine to preserve the looks.

There is a you tube video of a guy spraying his Suzuki down with a product called T9 spray. It's an all purpose engine protection spray. Video shows him spraying the entire block, outside of the lower unit, mounting brackets, hydraulic steering cylinder, etc. The entire engine. Glad this thread was posted. Never would've thought to do this.
