Hello solar man, I read a post of yours regarding a dt55 that would not idle and struggled to start it ran fine on the throttle and that is exactly what happens with mine. I couldent see a result . I have to choke it and turn the thing over for a good while till it catches and it won't idle and stalls out. Before I start ripping the carbs apart my own diagnosis is possibly the 25cent oring on the fuel coupling letting air in . Or idle passage ways in the carbs that I don't want to get involved in if I can help it. Your wisdom will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks Harvey

Well Solarman , the last time we corresponded , you asked for some pics. --- In order to accommodate you I tried to send some through Photobucket BUT for unknown reasons I keep getting "error-notes" . --- No idea what is causing the screw-up ; it worked alright when I sent pics. to my Outdoor-forum . --- I guess sending them via Hotmail would work ; however , I'd probably have to send them directly to your E-mail-address . --- Correct me if I'm wrong , --- computer-expertise is not my bag . --- I was going to show you how I increased the transom-height (from 15" to 20") and mounted my "pride and joy" (the 25 HP E-TEC) as well as some fish-pics.(which I caught last Saturday) . --- Oh well , I'll keep trying to get through on Photobucket maybe it will eventually work again .

    Hi Solarman.
Noticed that you help out on the Evinrude forum, so i was wondering if you could assist me with a little trouble shooting.
My friend has a 135 Fitch Ram with 40 hours on gauge which has sat for 8 years. I stated by changing all the filters and ran a separate tank of fuel but it wouldn't go.
Realized pump was dead, got that worked out but still won't fire up, cranks and just fires for a millisecond, just enough to send out a puff of smoke.
Im a four stroke guy so it sounds like its not getting any fuel but iv'e no idea about how that fitch ram injection works
If you lead me in some direction it would be appreciated

    Cheers: Gino

No I don't know of anyone that that does cranks but The reman companys do and some of them sell reman cranks, might contact some of them.
The 94 140 sounds like a bad ECU, might try to spary silicone spray or WD-40 in carbs to see if can keep it running to eliminate fuel starvation.
