  • DF175 Question

I have a 2007 DF175 with 116 hrs, with very low oil pressure. Mechanic pulled the power head in hopes of finding a clogged pick-up... instead we found quite a lot of metal shavings in the oil reservoir.. He thinks there may be something catastrophically wrong internally.. Any suggestions? Anyone ever have this issue? I recently purchased the engine, so I don't know the history-

Lots of metal in the oil, and accompanied by low oil pressure is never a good thing. Sounds like major issues to me.

    Good luck.

Don't look to good, how long did you run the engine when it was in limp mode, even though it will limit the rpm to 3000 those sought of rev's will destroy an engine in no time with no oil pressure.
