  • Overheating at low speed (low rpm)with Suzuki DF 50 Bj. 2001 temperature warning

    Hello everybody,

For months I have a coolant / temperature problem with my Suzuki DF50 Year 2001.

At low speed (950-1000 rpm) - So at idle is not enough cooling water to the cylinder head. Then after a few minutes the temperature alarm get on.

From the thermostat housing with integrated thermostat only water comes from about 1600 rpm. Then, the motor runs without complaint.

A look at the video - here you can see the wonderful.

I have exchanged already following parts:

    - Repair kit water pump.
    - Seal the water pump housing
    - Pressure relief valve housing
    - Thermostat with housing
    - Div. seals

Can the water pump on the underwater part test separately to function?

When I connect a garden hose to the riser pipe of the engine (output water pump), then water should the thermostat housing come (with removed thermostat)?

    Best wishes

    Michel

First you need deeper container, water needs to be higher on foot of motor (water level is below impeller), you should always have water above impeller.

Did water pump repair kit include a new housing?

Good luck. Post back when able.
