  • Water Pressure DF300AP

(Water pressure is possible, but you need a special water pressure sensor for the DF300AP)
I would like to have water pressure shown on my SMIS gauges but i am stuck with:
    A) what type of engine water pressure sensor do i need? I only found a sensor to attach on a water hose with NMEA2000 output, but it seems to me as it is for the pitot tube speedo
    B) Where do i install the engine water pressure sensore

As said, i have a black hose coming up on the port side of the engine near the fuel evaporator, but it looks as the pitot tube hose for a speedo.
I found a water pressure sensor with 1/8'' hose barb and a red NMEA2000 connector but i need also a Suzuki Water Pressure Gauge Installation Kit.

Has somebody this setup installed on a DF200AP and if, how?

    Thanks

I think you need the water pressure kit 34970-98J02; The kits comes with a pressure sensor, adapter for the sensor, hose clamps, hose, tees, and instructions. I remember it saying it was for the DF300AP, and some other models. It connects to a unused plug in the engine harness on the motor. I assume the sensor should then be picked up by the engine interface cable, or SMIS gauge when connected.

They sold me one, and I learned it wouldn't work with my DF140A (I didn't have the connector at my engine); I would have to use the pressure sensor you found that connects to the NMEA, along with a hose kit at the motor, and then run a hose to the sensor.

I'm sure this set up would work with your motor also; However, If my harness was already set up for it, i'd think that would be the best route.

      Nayna32,
      thanks for your answer.
Yes this kit makes more sense than the lowrance/suzuki nmea2000 pressure sensor i found.

      Anybody else?

        water pressure kit

I'm curious to know more about this.

Did you install this/have this installed? Is this measuring the water pressure of the raw water flushing through?
