I have an 06 df200 that I have owned since new. The engine has approx 1600 hrs and still runs strong. My tach used to never show over 6100 maxed out, but now it goes up to 7000. I have even tried a new prop 1 size up and same thing. The engine has a rev limiter, so I assume the tach is broken or something else is wrong. Any help is appreciated!
Well, i never had this problem, but..i would check the charging system first before i put a brand new guage,
Make sure ur rectifier/ regulrator are good, and try new guage.
