DT75 part identification help

Just purchased a boat with a 1989 DT75 Outboard. The part pictured below, which I assume to be a water temp sensor or thermostat of some sort, is cracked. When the motor is running, quite a bit of water leaks from around the part, which results in a very weak water discharge stream. I have looked at the parts diagram for the motor, but cannot seem to locate the part on the diagram. Can anyone help me out with Suzuki part number, or even with the specific name of this part? looks to me like t cooling water temp sensor, check out browns point marine.com, part no 34870 87d10. i think
