Trim problems

own 1989 Suzike 225 2 stroke, power trim works well when motor is shut down, idle or at low speed. When throttled up motor goes to stop and cannot trim out. Oil level is full and no external leaks and started all of sudden, no problems until inital fail. Anyone experience before or have suggestions.

Sounds like your trim motor maybe going bad. If you have the motor trimed up initially and your throttle up does the force push the motor down?

Yes force pushes it down, I can trim up idling in gear, kicks motor down at about 1/4 throttle and above, and wont trim up. Motor works and brings motor up with no problem, not sluggish. Thinking I may have a check valve problem, however dont have a hydraulic scematic for it.

Does the hydraulic motor have a built in check valve??
