Suziki DT 85TCLX trim stuck

with the boat out of the water, I started to lower the motor with the trim switch but forgot to release the trim latch. Noticing it was not lowering, I stopped and hit the trim up switch. There is nothing but a faint click sound. I turned the manual trim release screw but still c an't budge the motor up at all. Obviously I can't release the trim lock lever because of the pressure on it. Any ideas?

Finally got the manual trim release to work. After raising the motor and releasing the safety latch then lowering the motor all the way down, the trim still wouldn't work. After about ten minutes, I hit the trim switch again and it worked! Don't know why but all seems okay now.
