speedometer problem

I have a suzuki 150 - 1999. My speedometer died several weeks ago. I found the hose coming from the outboard, disconnected and pushed air threw it. Speedometer worked beautifully. So, this tells me the problem is inside the outboard. Can anyone tell me what I am up against at this point and what parts if any that I will need to repair. Thanks I tried sending air down the tube but it wasn't getting thru at all.

It really depends on the type of pickup assembly you have. Find the speed pickup tube, usually you can take a paper clip or long wire and reopen hole. (not usually a big job)
