Default Standard or counter-rotation gearcase

Suzuki DF models. How can you tell if a gearcase is a standard rotation or counter-rotation if there is no prop attached and the gearcase is not attached to the motor (where the model # would identify it, I assume).

Does Suzuki mark the case or propshaft/driveshaft in any way to identify them?

I believe Yamaha stamps an "L" on the back of the case and Honda has a ring (groove) in the propshaft to ID a counter-rotation unit.

Any experts out there?

Thank-you!

Put in forward gear, turn drive shaft clockwise, if prop shaft turns counterclockwise it is counter rotation gearcase.
