1999 dt140

what is the stator voltage output suppose to be on this motor? is the magnetic field changed by the battery voltage? is it okay to check output voltage with battery disconnected? still having isssues with it running poorly and i think it must be the ignition system. any help will be appriciated.

Unfortunately we do not have the service manual for this particular motor. I would recommend obtaining one to assist with your diagnostic proceedure.
