Recommendation for Power Prop on DF6

I do a lot of hauling of supplies, building materials, etc. using a Suzuki DF6 on a built-up 26' (heavy wooden) dugout canoe on the rivers and creeks here in wet tropical rainforests. Day's runs are often eight hours or more. And, payloads may be 1,500 pounds or more.

What recommendations do you have on prop selection and other issues that might help me get best engine performance (boat handling, engine life, fuel economy, etc.) for my situation?

It is hard to say. The prop selection for a df6 are very limited. I would start with the factory prop and note the performance (estimated rpm, acceleration, etc). You should probably go with the lowest pitch prop available.
