can a dt55 gear assembly be mated up to a dt85
(whole gear assembly with driveshaft and gear selector waterpump etc)

wether it could fit isnt the question, the real question is even if it fits would it be geared correctly and i would think not.

the margin for non exact part swaps is usually going to be very small so 55 to a 60 or 55 to a 50 maybe you could get away with but i would think anything beyond that will be too different and can damage your motor by over reving it or too much strain.
