Default Suzuki DT 150 trim problem

The upper right side is leaking fluid, how hard is it to pull the tilt and trim unit from the motor?

the safe way is to remove the motor from the boat to work on it.

it can be worked on while still on the boat but it will still need to be disconnected from the motor so the motor is a major falling or engine getting damaged hazard and you must get creative in supporting it securely (i wouldnt recommend it on larger motors)

i found that if it has age to it you are usually cheaper to just buy a replacement PTT assembly for it and you dont have to worry about fluids or seals.

my bet is the housing was cracked by an oyster shell or something getting pinched in there, thats what happened to mine
