Default Neutral Safety Switch 2003 115

I have a 2003 johnson 4 stroke (suzuki) 115 with a jet kit on it. the neutral safety switch serves no purpose on my boat and has a tendency to get out of adjustment. Iced up cables on a jet kit can cause things to get out of whack.

Basically there are times when it wont start when my boat is in neutral...

I've tried to by pass the switch on the motor..so the motor also thinks its in Neutral all the time.

which works great till you want to get it to run pass 2900 rpms...this switch also works as a rev limiter. great for starting, bad for running.

is there any other way to disable this switch without the running into the rev limiter?

Default

the problem is the perminent bypass

to properly bypass it, use a horn button so you push it to allow starting in neutral but the neutral switch doesnt stay on so there is no rev limiter issue
