11591-93J10 Oil Pan Union 2016 dv225

I have two 2016 DF 225s. While changing out the internal anodes, I see a hose and connection on the port side of the oil pan just below the lower anode cover. See pic of diagram, #8 is the connection. Of course the clamp was wasted and out of curiosity I pulled the hose off and water came out. I will reinstalled the hose and clamp, but I would really like to know what this hose is for and where the other end is connected. Please help me identify this hose and its purpose. Thanks.

Sorry this for bringing up an old post, did you figure this out? I have the same question I just rebuilt a df250 and am not sure where thos went. Was it just capped off on yours?
