    Sorry for not getting this posted earlier. had to take a couple new pictures. The photos to my post in 2013 were gone
    I made this from an open end wrench for a hand grinder.

    Thanks for reply. You don't have a picture of the tool you made? I thought the price of the original was high for changing 1 shim.

    I don't see a way to get them out without a tool. It compresses the edge of two cups that hold a pair of shims, valve spring pressure is on the cups.
    I made one out of a small piece of angle iron , the factory tool I saw was about $200 . Mine cost $2 and 2 hours . I looked at a photo of the factory tool while looking at cams and shim holders.
