Was there a problem with your stator and flywheel?

Have you googled the part numbers with item name, separately? Sometimes those parts might pop up.

I have done google searches and have not found used parts that match the year and parts numbers. As I alluded to I've had no problem finding the wrong parts that are advertised as being compatible from previous years.

The problem... we bought the boat usd. It idled poorly but ran very well at higher rpm's. During its last use the flywheel jammed up. We found small pieces of magnet jammed between the flywheel and stator and managed to loosen things up and limp back to the dock. Once we had the flywheel off we discovered that only 3 of the magnets were still on the flywheel. Some of the magnets must have been missing already when we bought the boat as there was not enough shrapnel under the flywheel to account for three missing magnets. The external face of the stator was damaged during this process but it seems to be functioning still.

Check your part numbers above online. Click on your specific part number, on the next page will be a list of all years and size motors that part was used on. Can do the same thing for both flywheel, and magneto. I do know EFI and carb motors use different magneto & flywheel parts.

This should give you more motors you can search for your needed parts from. I had to go through all of this for my dt 140s, i have both carb & EFI models.

The flywheel and stator part numbers are 32102-92E11 and 32101-92E21 as indicated in my original post.

The engine serial number is 15003-151205... definitely a 2001. EFI DT150. 6 cylinders and 6 spark plugs (not a super six).

What I'm really having trouble coming to grips with is the contradictory information regarding what flywheel and stator is compatible with this motor.

The first is the result of searching the part number 32102-92E11. At the bottom of the page is a list of engines (year and models) that used the same flywheel... 1998-2003 DT150, DT200 and DT225 (which is what I believe to be correct).

The second is the result of searching the part number 32102-92E00. At the bottom of the page is a list of engines (year and models) that used the same flywheel... 1987-2003 DT150, 1998-2003 DT200 and DT225. And indeed EBay is full of ads claiming that Flywheel 32102-92E00 is compatible with a 2001 DT150 (in fact any DT150 from 1998-2003)... so , we bought one online and it is physically very different and not a match to the existing flywheel.

Any suggestions, anyone?
