  • Props and RPMs

Only running 5100 RPMs on a 2005 DF250 hung on a 1989 231 Mako boat. Currently spinning a 3 x 16 x 21.5 suzuki stainless prop. Engine height could only go up ONE more hole if necessary.

Anyone ever run Solas or Powertech props on their V6 suzukis?

make sure you are testing the rpms in an empty boat on calm smooth water trimmed out perfectly.

next you need to know the max rpms for your motor to size the prop correctly

look to get right at 300 rpms below redline to be your target.

most shops will let you try several props and return the ones you dont want so you can properly test without hassle
