converting extra long shaft

How hard is it to convert an extra long shaft 9.9 into a long shaft.

it is quite simple, BUT, if you have to buy everything new, it is very expensive, best bet is to look for a wrecked short shaft, be sure you get your measurements correct, you are saying extra long, but in reality I think you just mean long shaft.

converting extra long shaft to long shaft

I have an "extra long" shaft 9.9 which is 5" longer that a long shaft, I am asking what parts would I need to convert to a long shaft. Thanks, I would appreciate any advice.
