  • DT200 My flywheel is hitting the pick ups- How do i fix this?

It started as a ticking sound. Yesterday I discovered that the flywheel has two long things that trigger something.. Well my flywheel is hitting these pick ups. What are they? They look adjustable. Do i need to remove the flywheel and pull the pick ups back a bit?

The flywheel is making contact with the "Pulser Coils" . These are 120 degrees apart. They need to be 8mm from the flywheel. (Reading the manual)

Question: Do i have to remove the flywheel to do this adjustment? Where can I buy the tools needed to remove the flywheel?

In talking with some shops they feel that the magnets may have come loose onthe flywheel and are hitting.

You need to check top main bearing to see if flywheel can be moved from side to side, remove flywheel and inspect damage and see if anything is loose.
