  • 70 hp 4 stroke beeping

The beeps sounds like an overheat alarm, 1 beep every 5 seconds or so, but the engine's running cool. There seems to be some gas or oil in the water near the engine - a colorful film on the water.
Don't know the year of the engine.

    What could be causing this?

sounds like the oil change warning alarm.

how many hours has your motor done? people get caught all the time by the service reminder beeping, it is in your owners manual.

don't know why questions are posted and then nothing further, we don't know if the poster even read the reply let alone fixed the problem.

            Hi

            sorry for my late reply.

No it's probably not the oil reminder system.
According to my service manual it's a series of double beeps
(I get single beeps) and also the oil lamp should flash (mine does not).

I also have some more problems, just opened a seperare thread
