  • Prop for my Triumph 190 Bay

New Triumph 190 Bay boat purchased this spring, with a Suzuki 140 4stroke.
Dealer installed a Suzuki 22 pitch alum. After break in I can get 6200+ rpm but only 39.9 mph per GPS. I cannot put much positive trim, the prop ventilates. I like the boat, ride, & handling, but I expected better top end. Thinking of a stainless prop with higher rake. Any suggestions? Hole shot is not as important as top end.
This is my first four stroke, I am very impressed with the quality of the Suzuki.
    Any advise is welcome.
    Thanks

I found a boat test bulletin on the 210 on Suzuki web site Suzuki Marine - Boat Builders - Triumph 210 Center Console - DF140
but didn't find any information on the 190 Bay boat with 140 Suzuki. The operating range for that motor is 5600-6200 rpm's so you should be able to go a larger pitch prop and gain a little top speed.
