  • Cleaning Fuel Injectors

I have a 2005 DF140 which won't run after this past winter. My local dealer says that it's probably the injectors clogged.

Is it possible to remove, clean, and reinstall the fuel injectors?

There is companys like Flagship Marine Engine Co. that rebuild injectors thats a lot cheaper than replacing them, that company is in sw Florida.

Thanks for the info. I plan to ask my dealer for my old injectors back, then I can send them to have them cleaned and have a good set on hand in case this happens again.

my bet is the high presure fuel pump can you hear the fuel pump running when you turn the key on ? you can also get them serviced at a auto fuel injection place after all they are only fuel injectors .

The injectors is what he told me it probably is. He hasn't connected it to the computer, I'm still waiting my turn. He's backed up with work.
