2010 175 pouring gas out of overflow from vapor sepeartor float working runs great fuel pump working only comes out while running

Verify float adjustment and float not filling with fuel.

The float in the VST works just as a carb's, pushes up a needle valve....if the
float and needle valve are working then this couldn't happen as described, could it be return line has come loose? If not then needle may be stuck and float can't
shut off fuel flow even though it is floating up to it.
