df 50 stalling when shifting from Fwd to Rev

We have a df 50 with 1200 hrs and it has started to stall when shifting from forward to reverse. Idle speed by tach is about 950 rpm, this is a interminted problem, but when you are running a tender coming up along side boats it is a pain, engine always start right back up, Anyone got a clue where to starting looking? motor normal runing speed is 3000 rpm most of the time. Very rarely is it run up to full speed.

Not sure what model you have but might check and clean idle control valve.

It is a 2007 EFI DF50

Just got back from dealer, adjusted IAC way out, seems to idle smoother, next day will tell if problem is fixed or not.
