Hi guys,
I'm new here. I joined because i was given a 65hp Suzuki oil injected 2 stroke outboard but when i checked it it has very very low com on the first cylinder.
I'm not sure what year it is but i was told it was late 80's or early 90's.
It turns over and has spark.
I'm thinking of maybe fix it but i wanted to see what you guys might tell me about those engine, If they are any good, if they had common issues, if i can easily get parts etc and if it worth rebuilding.
I know its hard to see and estimate exactly what need to be done without pulling it apart but an average cost or parts would be nice.
Also, did they have any issues with the oil injection system? think it would be wise to give that a check and replace crucial parts if i rebuild it.
Anyway, any advice, thoughts etc would be greatly appreciated.
