Good morning everyone. New to the forum and hope I can get some help. I';; start by saying a purchased a used 1984 Suzuki DT15, short shaft, manual and electric start, tiller operated. I've used it maybe a total of 5 times. It had issues going into reverse from the beginning. Going into forward gear is no issue. Reverse would take some work and sound like grinding, and continue that noise while in reverse. I was wondering if maybe the gear shift shaft (looks like a tie rod going down the back of the leg into the foot) needs to be adjusted or if I probably have a bigger problem. I'll stop here and wait for probing questions since I dont know much about outboards at this point anyways. Thanks.
