Suzuki 9.9 Mod

I have a Suzuki 9.9 on my 20' Crestliner Pontoon boat. The lake has a 25 hp limit but rather than purchasing a larger motor a lot of people with 9.9 motors are upgrading the carb by putting 15hp jets and nozzle into their existing carb and changing the prop pitch up 1. Is this harmful to the motor and if not what other things can be done to increase hp with out over revving the engine. Thank you

I do not attemp to modify horsepower on engines, not sure if or how to do it.

First thing I would check is weather or not its the same block.. I have heard of people doing this with DF70-DF90, but I have not knowledge on how to accomplish this.
