  • Experts only.... DT6 light coils output?

Unusual question but hope experts here can answer in less time than 3 day google search. :-)

Have 1988 (according to serial # 00601 818081) DT6 that we are getting running after extended storage (dry-inside) Plan to install new h20/pump kit and at least disassemble and clean carb before first start try...

Motor is to be used as aux on small extended cruise sail vessel. One of the problems onboard is how to generate power (12v) underway. Search has revealed "lightcoil" was originally available on this engine, assume 12v output to charge batteries or to run lights directly. Current status (so far) is suzuki part #32200-99100 is obsolete (really?). Ignition coils are readily available.

Question #1 If I can find one, what is output of "suzuki 32200-99100"? (volts/amps or watts)
Question #2 Documentation on original electrical schematics anyone? ('88 DT6 w/ optional "light-coil")?
Question #3 Source for "obsolete" Suzy parts, oem or aftermarket (especially the afore mentioned light coil)?
Question #4 Seems as if '84-02 DT6 are verrrrrrrry close. How close are the mag-coils swaps between 84-85 parts and 86-02 parts?

Still lookin' as we speak, but sure would be happy to hear from someone intimately involved with these small horse engines (got one in the hot-tub?)

    TIA

Update: Lightcoil (#32220-98110) is available all over.... First part # was for full magkit including misc unneeded parts)
Anyway, questions 1 and 2 still apply.

    TIA for any input,
    The search continues.......

    ------------------------------------------------

Final Update: Found light-coil and rectifier to use 12v dc out at aprox $150
    Avg output 60W (12v dc @ 5A) 80% throttle

Mark "Solved" but still interested to know of anyone using this setup on a small hp suzy and or anyone with a wiring diagram for same (gotta get around to that shop man)

    Tks

Wires from stator to regulator just match same color wires, will need to run a red wire with inline fuse to positive battery post and a ground wire from engine block to negitive battery post.

Ouch, 60 watts at 80% throttle really is not a lot of power.
