DF 140 Tachometer installation

I am replacing my broke Suzuki tachometer with monitor with a new Suzuki tachometer with monitor. The new tack seems to have extra wires. My existing tach has the plug-in harness and 5 wires, but my old broke tachhas the plug-in harness with 3 wires for attachment. The new tack yellow wire has a note attached which reads faria f-250? Would this be the same yellow wire on my broke tack? What would the extra wires be for or they for another type engine? Thanks in advance.

Connect the yellow, black and gray wires to get rpm's to work, Red/grren wires to 12 volt key on power and black to ground, connect engine harness up to get lights in gauge to work.
