  • Motor Quits, no power at ignition switch....

I purchased a pontoon and got a DF60 (2013)....It has about 20 hours on it and I have been on the water 4 times.

Tonight when done fishing and heading back to shore, the motor quit at about 4500 RPM....I put the boat in neutral and had ZERO power at the ignition switch and the trim did not work on the handle. RADIO, HORN and all other accessories worked fine as did the tilt on the motor itself.

After looking at the fuse panels and determining they were fine, there was power at the switch, motor started and got us to the dock. while docking, the same thing happened...motor quits and no power at the switch...did this several times....we had to manually put the toon on a trailer....

I don't want to get stuck on the other side of the lake, any help would be appreciated...And, I would take it back to the dealer, but that is about 150 miles away.....and I am fairly mechanical, just new to boats....

Thanks for any advice or just a "where to start" approach...

    Check

Check for a loose connection or corrosion
