  • Low Motor Temp

A boat mechanic I know is working on my 2003 dt 150 and does not have the diagnostic equipment. I have had problems with dirty injectors. He again cleaned them and believes my engine temp is not helping the injector issue. He says both sides are in the low 120's and would prefer to see them about 20 degrees warmer. He wants me to order new thermostats, but said it could also be the throttle position sensor (too much fuel). I am wondering if both thermostats could be faulty and running cold. If so, should I order the 42c thermostats as that is all I can find? Does 140 degrees sound about right?Ideas? I am hoping to get the boat running like a champ again for next week because I am on vacation and have fishing plans with it. Thanks in advance.

I think a 60c thermostat is also made. Any ideas where I can buy one? I usually run in cold water.
