Lifting a DT40 off boat not in garage

Hi I was wondering if anyone has any easy lifting tips for a 40hp Suzuki. I need to temporarily remove the engine from the boat to do a welding repair on the hull. It is not in a garage so lifting using a hoist from the rafters is not possible.

You could rent an automotive engine hoist, some break down into sections.

A good stut tree limb, a pully and chain and a come along. When I was a boy saw many car engines pulled this way

Jack everything up together . . . boat, motor, trailer, then secure the motor somehow . . . then lower the boat and trailer only as a portable unit.
