suzuki 2006 2.5hp gear issue

Hey, I was wondering if anyone could give me a clue of what my problem is with my outboard. I was cruising the lake this afternoon,In deep water and all of a sudden I lost all power to my prop. The motor idled up, I slipped it back into neutral and then back into forwards, still nothing. I removed the propeller check the shear pin and that was fine. So I was wondering if there was maybe another sheer pin on the upper side of the shaft???or could this be a costly thing.

Sounds to me like either your sheer pin sheered or shifter linkage isn't operating properly.
