1988 DT40 Ignition Trouble

Replaced old CDI and it blew again. Do I need to replace both the Magneto and the Rectifier to solve this problem? Would it be possible to use parts other than that prescribed for my particular engine? Parts for mine are VERY rare and VERY expensive.

Seems like some serious electrical problem. Could it be ground perhaps?
