    Hello again,

I have twin 140HP Evinrude (Suzuki) 2004 motors and recently my speedometer quit working. The Starboard engine has the hose that can be disconnected and blown out, but that is not working. I tried to push air (25psi to 30psi) through the line on the motor but I don't see any air bubbles. Is there another way to clean out the line?

    Thanks,
    Tbirdkidd

If it like 175. There is a small pin hole on the leading edge of the drive shaft maybe about the same level as the top edge of the prop
I have had small debris fill the hole. A small piece of wire or a drill smaller than this hole will clean it out

I have the same problems...now and then, I will bump a stump or even hit a small stick in the water and the intake hole gets clogged. I take a small drill bit and twist it into the hole. It usually pulls out a small piece of wood and the problem is solved.
