Df 6 flushing

I have been flushing my df 6 using the dealer supplied flushing attachment without the engine running but am concerned this is possibly not ideal given the thermostat won't be open.

Have not been able to find an attachment for the pump intake, is there anything on the market for the Df 6?

Saw on youtube someone using the std flushing attachment but with the motor running. This is not recommended by suzuki manual but would mitigate the thermostat issue?

Otherwise I'm off to find a drum......

Best option is to find a drum. 6 is only a small motor so wont need to be too big.
