  • Broken trim sender arm DF175

I have a 2007 Suzuki DF175. Great motor, but the plastic trim sender arm is sheared off. The new part number is 34801-99E04 at about $200 which replaced original part number 34801-99E03. I can get the original part at surplus for about $130. Doe anyone know the difference between the two. Has Suzuki improved the part?

    Thanks in advance.

No difference. Get the surplus part. Or do what I did. When mine broke, I actually replaced it with 34801-93J03 (from the DF200) for $80 or so. It's only a variable resistor. I checked the resistance on both units, throughout the travel of the lever, and they were exactly the same. The only difference was the length of the two conductor cable. I spliced in some of the cable from the broken sender, and that was that. Don't ask why 2 extra feet of cable should cost an additional $150+.
